Collaborating with colleagues at Umeå, I'm just starting a new project about the labour market incorporation of immigrants in Sweden. We are focusing especially on the gender divides among groups of immigrants from the same country. Do inequalities in immigrants' countries of origin get reproduced in their new home? This project is called "Integration or segmentation? Immigrants' employment in Sweden from a gender perspective" (PI Anne Grönlund), and is funded by Forte, the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare.
